NCC
National Cadet Corps (NCC) is the biggest youth organisation in India, started its journey from 16th July, 1948. The motto of the NCC is “Unity and Discipline”. The aims of NCC are -
1. To develop character comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, sprit and adventure, sportsmanship and ideals of selfless service among the youth.
2. To create a human resource of organised, trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life and always available for the service of the nation.
3. To provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the armed forces.
Sripat Singh College company of NCC is presently under the NCC unit 9 Bengal BN, Berhampore , Murshidabad which is under Kalyani group of W.B. and Sikkim dtes.
Training Activities: -
a. Institutional Training - This training is mostly carried out in the college .It generally starts in the month of May and continue till February.
b. Camp Training: - Camp training is a important part of the cadets. Every cadet is expected to attend at least two camps during one’s tenure to complete the training syllabi. Camp training is two types.
i. CATC ( Combined Annual Training Camp)
ii COC (Centrally organised Camps) like Leadership Camps, Thal Sainik Camp(TSC), Rock Climbing Camp, Natition Intregation Camp(NIC), Republic Day Camp(RDC)
c.Attachment Training: - NCC army wing cadets are giving an opportunity to live and work together with Indian Army.
Social service and community development: - NCC has adopted community development activities like Tree Plantation, Blood Donation, Disaster Relief and awareness camp.
